O&S Building Services is run by Martin Scarles from Polegate, just outside Eastbourne. It is a family business in the plain sense of the words: the same family and the same small team turn up on every job, from the first visit to the day the last tool goes back in the van. Between us there is more than three decades of experience on the tools.
We are builders and qualified electricians in one firm. That is rarer than it sounds. On most building jobs the wiring is passed to a separate electrician, and the gaps between two companies are where delays, arguments and half finished jobs tend to live. Here the person who builds the extension is on the same team as the person who wires it, and one call covers both.
We work for homeowners, landlords and businesses right across East Sussex, on everything from a single fitted bathroom to a two storey extension or a barn conversion. Most of our work comes from referrals and recommendations, which only happens if you turn up when you say you will, do what you said you would do, and leave the place tidy.
